Alessandra Roccasalvo: Azerbaijan advocates for multilateral approach to combating climate change

The government of Azerbaijan is a genuine supporter of the multilateral system approach to combating climate change, stated Alessandra Roccasalvo, the UNDP Resident Representative in Azerbaijan, during a panel session on the second day of Pre-COP29 in Baku, according to Report.

"We are here to fight climate change, but it must be done in a modern way that benefits the population, enhances people's skills, and gives them hope for the future," Roccasalvo emphasized. She expressed her gratitude to Azerbaijan for being a true advocate of the multilateral system, acknowledging that it is not an easy stance to take in current times.

"Together we are stronger," she concluded, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in addressing the global climate crisis.
