Today, relations among Turkic states are developing with intense dynamics in all spheres of socio-political life, said Aygun Aliyeva, the Executive Director of the Agency for State Support to NGOs in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
Aliyeva made the remark at the Turkish Climate Initiative Forum on human capital problems within the framework of COP29.
She emphasized that the Turkic states are further united by a number of historical ties. "It is crucial that the Forum of NGOs representing Turkic states is being held on the thematic day of COP29 dedicated to human capital. As President Ilham Aliyev noted, 'The 21st century should be the century of development for the Turkic world.'"
The director reminded that in a few weeks, the Second Forum of Non-Governmental Organizations of the Turkic States will be held in Uzbekistan. "I believe that only through strengthening human capital can we achieve long-term development of the Turkic states and jointly combat the ecological threats facing the region," Aliyeva stated.
The Turkish Climate Initiative Forum aims to bring together non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) to discuss the impact of climate change on human capital and the importance of equipping children and youth with knowledge and skills.
