Aviation jet fuel consumption may increase by 2 million barrels per day

Jet fuel consumption in the aviation industry may increase by 2 million barrels per day, Samir Rzayev, President of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), said during a high-level panel discussion "International Aviation and Climate Change" at COP29, Report informs.
According to Samir Rzayev, the aviation industry currently consumes 6.3 million barrels of jet fuel daily.
"According to forecasts, this figure will increase to 8.3 million barrels per day. Thus, an additional 2 million barrels of fuel per day will be required," said Rzayev.
