Andris Piebalgs: COP29 will create new opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Europe

Hosting COP29 will create new opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Europe, Andris Piebalgs, former European Commissioner for Energy, told Report.

He said that after Azerbaijan, Brazil will host the COP: “I believe during this period Baku will achieve new perspectives in relations with Europe.”

Touching upon bilateral relations, the former commissioner said that Azerbaijan plays a crucial role in Europe’s energy security.
