The Prime Minister of Pakistan is expected to visit Azerbaijan to participate in COP29, Qasim Mohiuddin, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, told journalists, Report informs.

Ambassador Mohiuddin emphasized the strong collaboration between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, not only bilaterally but also within the framework of international organizations.

The ambassador highlighted the recent state visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Pakistan.

"Pakistan-Azerbaijani friendship is very important. Recently, President Ilham Aliyev paid a state visit to Pakistan. I hope that the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Pakistan, as well as we, will do everything to further develop cooperation in the economy, defense, and education sectors, as well as the relations between our people.

Pakistan has always been with Azerbaijan, especially in the Karabakh issue. We will try to further develop cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan,” Mohiuddin stated.

Mohiuddin also pointed out that Jammu and Kashmir were occupied by India: "Azerbaijan’s support in this matter is also very important."
