Adil Karimli: At COP29, decision was made to launch Group of Friends initiative

Following the second ministerial meeting on culture and climate change at COP29 in Baku on November 15, a decision was made to establish the Friends Group initiative, Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture Adil Karimli said while commenting on the meeting's outcomes, Report informs.
"Today in Baku, a package of conditions was adopted for establishing the Friends Group initiative. The idea of forming such a group was first voiced at COP28 in the UAE last year during the first ministerial meeting on culture and climate change," said the minister.
He noted that Azerbaijan, the UAE, and Brazil are serving as co-chairs of the group.
