Uzbek company to open its branch in Baku

The Uzbek company Artel, a manufacturer of household appliances and electronics, will open its branch in Baku, Sayfullo Nigmatov, manager of the export and foreign economic activity development department of Artel, told Report.

He said that this year the company celebrates its 10th anniversary, and the products is supplied to the Azerbaijani market for already six years.

The annual turnover to Azerbaijan is $15 million, the total export of the company is more than $100 million.

“An Artel branch will soon open in Baku, which will be a showroom and an exhibition hall. We also have two distributors in Azerbaijan who buy household products from us,” Nigmatov said.

He added that Artel also sells Shivaki brand household appliances and cooperates with Baku Electronics.

According to Nigmatov, TVs and air conditioners are the best-selling equipment in Azerbaijan. “On average, we sell 45,000 TVs and 20,000 air conditioners per year in the CIS countries,” he added.
