Strategic goals of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee announced

Increasing the transparency of the activities of customs authorities, the degree of satisfaction of citizens and business entities, and the creation of a digital customs system are identified as the strategic goals of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee, its Chairman Shahin Bagirov said at the Customs-Business 2023 forum in Baku, Report informs.

He also named among the strategic goals ensuring the stability of customs payments and the implementation of more effective measures in this area.

Bagirov especially noted the use by the State Committee of a number of important tools, including the mechanism for interaction between customs authorities and business entities on the basis of a single electronic notification.
