Shahin Baghirov: Main goal of Middle Corridor countries is to facilitate transit

The main goal of the countries along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor) is to facilitate transit, Chairman of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan, Sahin Bagirov, told journalists, Report informs.

According to him, one of the critical issues in facilitating transit is ensuring security: “Security measures should be taken into account to facilitate transit. There are different forms and different mechanisms to ensure it.”

As for the security issues of the transit cargo to be transported through Azerbaijan after implementing the Zangazur corridor, Bagirov said that the corridor will definitely be implemented and special attention will be given to the security measures.
