Number of taxpayers in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan up by 21%

In the first half of 2024, 3,567 new taxpayers were registered in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.

The State Tax Service under the Economy Ministry of the autonomous republic told Report that the number of taxpayers increased by 20.6% year-on-year.

As many as 3,404 of the new taxpayers were individuals, and 163 were legal entities and other organizations.

In January-June 2024, 100 or 61% of 163 newly registered legal entities were registered online.

Deputy economy minister of Nakhchivan, acting minister Abbas Ismayilov said that the number of active tax-payers in the region has increased sharply. Thus, as of July 1, the number of active taxpayers increased by 48.3% compared to early 2024 to 18,841, the number of VAT payers increased by 66.2% to 630, while the number of active business entities increased by 29.9% to 6,538.
