Number of active VAT payers in Azerbaijan up nearly 6%

As of August 1, 2025, the number of active taxpayers in Azerbaijan increased by 2.1% compared to the beginning of the year, bringing the total to 823,900, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy.

During 7 months, the number of active value-added tax (VAT) payers has reached 55,800, a 5.8% rise from the start of the year.

Additionally, the number of active economic entities has grown to 226,800, reflecting a 4.3% increase compared to early 2025.

As of that date, the number of new generation cash registers in the records stood at 111,800, and the number of registered POS terminals was 140,700.
