Number of active taxpayers in Azerbaijan nearly doubled over past 6 years

Since 2019, the number of active taxpayers in Azerbaijan has increased by 1.8 times to 807,000 by the beginning of 2025.

According to Report, this was revealed by Orkhan Nazarli, Head of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, at the conference "Financial control - as a guarantor of the protection of the constitutional rights of the state and the private sector" held in Baku, dedicated to the Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty in Azerbaijan.

"During this period, the number of VAT payers, which we consider important for the economic system, tripled, reaching 52,800," Nazarli noted.
