Various Azerbaijani companies are actively engaged in the Russian economy, including tourism, Deputy Economy Minister Niyazi Safarov said at an event dedicated to the presentation of Udmurtia's export and investment potential.
"In December last year, a 5-star Istochnik Zheleznovodsk sanatorium was opened in Russia at the expense of Azerbaijani investments, and the Istochnik sanatorium operates in Yessentuki. Work is also underway to implement construction projects of the Trade and Logistics Center in Rostov-on-Don. In addition, our entrepreneurs are actively involved in various exhibitions in Russia. Among them are the annual exhibitions Worldfood, Prodexpo, Mosbuild, and others, where our local companies perform under a single stand Made in Azerbaijan. Ten days ago, representatives of more than 30 Azerbaijani companies participating in Prodexpo-2022 returned from Moscow, and we hope that the negotiations between the business circles at this exhibition will lead to fruitful results," Safarov noted.
Safarov also stressed that the Russian market is one of the most important and traditional markets for Azerbaijan in terms of agricultural exports.
