Mikayil Jabbarov: Azerbaijan - country with significant capital

Azerbaijan is a country with significant capital, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Investment Forum dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev and the Republic of Türkiye, Report informs.

“Every year we record a significant trade surplus. The policy of the Azerbaijani government is to share capital risks between domestic and foreign partners. We are ready for this, we have the appropriate tools. Azerbaijan’s energy resources and the ongoing tariff policy create an ideal opportunity to make industrial production in our country attractive,” he noted.

According to the minister, Azerbaijan doesn’t have access to the open sea: “This hinders competitiveness in the production of industrial products. To solve the problem, the government is covering transport costs and adjusting tariff policy.”
