Medicines packaged in Azerbaijan to be considered local products in public procurement for 5 years

President Ilham Aliyev has amended the decree dated August 19, 2023, concerning the implementation of the Law "On Public Procurement" adopted on July 14, 2023.

According to Report, the head of state signed a new decree in this regard.

Under the new decree, starting from June 1, 2025, medicinal products and pharmaceutical substances packaged within Azerbaijan will be considered local goods for five years. This designation will allow procurement discounts to be applied to such products in accordance with the Law "On Public Procurement."
