KOBIA develops project for implementation of national ESG standards

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) under the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan has developed a project for the implementation of national environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards, Vusal Shikhaliyev, Head of the Department of Economic Policy and Industrial Affairs of the Presidential Administration, Head of the Secretariat of the Commission for Business Environment and International Ratings, said at the presentation of the concept of a single digital platform on ESG, Report informs.

According to Shikhvaliyev, the document is in the approval stage.

"We set the goal of integrating and synchronizing international requirements to national ESG standards," he said.
