To date, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) has received applications from 1,493 companies to invest in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Board of SMBDA ,Orkhan Mammadov, said at the 35th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture held in Baku, Report informs.
Mammadov said that 490 of them are foreign investors from 37 countries: “We are ready to coordinate the applications of member states to the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture to engage in business activities in Karabakh. We have established our activity in Karabakh in 3 main directions. The first is to inform local and foreign investors about investment opportunities, the second is to receive applications for setting up new businesses, and the third is to support the creation of business infrastructures.”
