Georgia to receive first direct block train from China

The first direct container block train from the Chinese city of Xi'an to the Georgian capital Tbilisi will arrive on February 20, Report's local bureau mentions, referring to APM Terminals.

This transportation has allowed one of the largest Georgian importing companies to effectively manage stocks and significantly reduce the time of transit of goods.

According to the company, the block train's time from Xi'an to Tbilisi will be 21 days. This route is considered the fastest and most effective alternative way for cargo delivery between Georgia and China.
