Georgia sees 38% growth in foreign trade turnover

for the January-to-March period of 2022, Georgia’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $3,866.8 million, showing a 38% growth compared to a year earlier, Report informs, citing the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
In the first quarter, the exports stood at $1,171.8 million (+43.3%), and the imports – at $2,695 million (35.8%).
Over the abovementioned period, the gap was $1,523.2 million, making up 39.4% of the total foreign trade turnover.
