Georgia's trade turnover with Azerbaijan nears $500M

In January-May 2024, the value of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia decreased by 18.9% compared to the same period last year and amounted to $499.979 million, Report informs, citing the National Statistical Office of Georgia.
Azerbaijan’s share in the total foreign trade turnover of Georgia was 5.9%.
During the reporting period, the value of products exported by Georgia to Azerbaijan decreased by 24.6% to $253.62 million (11.2% of total exports), and the value of products imported by Georgia from Azerbaijan went down by 11.9% to $246.361 million (4% of total imports).
In January-May, Georgia's total trade turnover amounted to $8,432,024,000, down 2.2% year-on-year. The value of exports decreased by 9.2% to $2,274,011,000 while the imports rose by 0.7% to $6,158,013,000.
