Baku has hosted the opening of the Made in Uzbekistan exhibition, featuring over 80 Uzbek enterprises, Report informs.
Director of the Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Muradov at the opening of the event noted the importance of creating sustainable cooperation mechanisms between the business circles of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. He said that the exhibition will make it possible for Azerbaijani public to familiarize itself with Uzbek products.
“Economic cooperation between the two countries is actively developing. In 2010, an exhibition of Azerbaijani rural products was held in Tashkent, in recent years such exhibitions have been held both in Baku and Tashkent, which is an indicator of the versatility of our cooperation,” Mammadov said.
Counselor of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan, Mahamadjon Botraliev, in turn, noted that Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan intend to expand trade and economic ties in the future.
After the opening, the guests got acquainted with the stands featuring Uzbek products in more detail. As part of the exhibition, meetings of representatives of the business circles of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are expected in the B2B format.
