Elnur Aliyev: EU - major trade partner of Azerbaijan

The European Union (EU) was Azerbaijan's main trading partner last year, with a turnover of $15.2 billion, Azerbaijani Deputy Economy Minister Elnur Aliyev said at the signing ceremony of the Administrative Agreement between the EU and the World Bank (WB) on the Azerbaijan Rapid Technical Assistance Facility, Report informs.
Elnur Aliyev also said that more than 1,700 EU companies currently operate in Azerbaijan.
"We also have close cooperation with the World Bank. So far, we have attracted more than $4 billion in state-guaranteed investment in 52 projects from this bank," the deputy minister added.
