Currently, foreign companies can independently offer their products to Azerbaijani farmers without any bureaucratic procedures and enjoy state benefits, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Elchin Zeynalov said at the agribusiness forum.
"Healthy competition in the market supports the agricultural business sector. Electronic services will help to avoid time losses and provide services to farmers in the prompt manner," the deputy minister said.
He recalled that the country's agricultural sector is virtually free from all types of taxes, there are various types of subsidies and credit mechanisms to support farmers.
According to him, important infrastructure projects currently being implemented in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan will contribute to the development of agriculture.
Zeynalov said that the construction of agro-processing enterprises will have a significant impact on the sustainable development of agriculture in the region:
"The inclusion of new territories in crop rotation will increase production, due to the fertile lands of the region, the production of grain, vegetables and fruits, as well as livestock products will increase."
