Czechia may cooperate with Azerbaijan's Alat Free Economic Zone

The Czech Republic can cooperate with Azerbaijan within the framework of the Alat free economic zone, Sahib Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Economy, Co-Chairman of the Joint Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic, said at a meeting with the head of the Czech-Azerbaijani Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament Jan Kubik, Report informs via the Economy Ministry.

The Deputy Minister noted that the mixed commission is a useful platform for strengthening trade and economic partnerships. The business conference organized in March 2023 as part of the 5th meeting of the commission in Prague, and negotiations with the heads of Czech companies contributed to the development of a business dialogue.

It was noted that there are ample opportunities between the two countries to expand cooperation in the investment, trade, industrial, innovation, transport and transit and tourism sectors. Along with this, cooperation with Czech companies is possible within the industrial zones operating in Azerbaijan.
