The Inter Nations has published the Expat Insider 2021 ranking of countries regarding living and working foreigners.
According to Report, Taiwan (China Republic; Chinese Taipei), Mexico, and Costa Rica lead the ranking of 59 countries this year.
In Taiwan, which ranks first for the third time, expatriates are satisfied with job security (83%; 61% worldwide), the general state of the economy (85%; 62% worldwide), jobs (75%; 62% worldwide), and life in general (80%; 75% worldwide), health care (96%; 71% worldwide) and easy access (94%; 61% worldwide).
In Mexico, expatriates are pleased with the ease of settlement (85%; 62% globally), the ease of making friends (78%; 44% globally), financial status (80%; 64% globally), and the fact that income meets living needs (90%; 77% globally), life (89%; 75% globally). At the same time, 27% are dissatisfied with water and sanitation infrastructure (12% globally) and 29% with personal safety (8% globally).
In Costa Rica, 91% of expats describe the population as generally friendly, and 96% have a positive assessment of the natural environment. However, the country is not considered attractive in terms of travel and transport systems.
At the same time, the lowest countries in the ranking are Kuwait (59th place), Italy (58th place), and the Republic of South Africa (57th place).
