Azerbaijan starts selling kelaghayi on Amazon and eBay

Azexport portal operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) and Azeripek LLC, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation OJSC, carried out the first sale of Azerbaijan's national kelaghayi to American and European countries via the Amazon and eBay platforms, Report informs, citing CAERC.

Aykhan Gadashov, the head of the portal, said that since the sale of products in this category mainly coincides with the autumn-winter months, orders are expected to increase in the following months. Within the cooperation framework, ten types of kelaghayi were sold for testing on the initially listed platforms. It is planned to increase the displayed product types considering the interest in the product.

Interest in kelaghayi has grown even more after Azerbaijan's kelaghayi art was included in UNESCO's representative list of intangible cultural heritage in November 2014.
