Azerbaijan starts importing trout from 3 more countries

In 2023, Azerbaijan imported 1,998 tons of trout (live, fresh or chilled, frozen, smoked) worth $9.1 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
This is 83% more than the 2022 figure in value and 45% more in quantity.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported trout from Iran, Belarus, Türkiye, Ukraine, Norway and other countries.
This year, for the first time in the last 13 years, supplies were made from Indonesia (10 kg worth $270), Italy (10 kg worth $270) and the UAE (10 kg for $180).
