Azerbaijan starts importing electric vehicles from 3 more countries

In 2023, Azerbaijan imported 3,102 electric vehicles worth $125.3 million.

According to Report’s calculations based on State Statistics Committee data, this is seven times more in value and six times more in quantitative terms compared to last year.

Last year, Azerbaijan imported electric cars from China, the US, Germany, Korea, Belgium and other countries.

Last year, for the first time in 12 years, electric vehicles were imported from Hong Kong (two units worth $99,000), Spain (one unit worth $3,000) and the Netherlands (four units worth $256,000).

In 2022, of 486 units of electric vehicles imported to Azerbaijan from abroad (14 countries), 61% came from China.
