Azerbaijan starts importing clay from Uzbekistan

In 2023, Azerbaijan imported 12,000 tons of clay (bentonite and other types) worth $2.65 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
This is 14% less than in the same period in 2022 in value and 17% in quantity.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 8,781 tons of products (-14%) worth $1.4 million (-13%) from Russia, 2,713 tons (+8%) worth $833,000 (+9%) from Türkiye, 69.2 tons (-77%) for $132,000 (-15%) from Brazil,102 tons (-23%) for $114,000 (+2%) from the United States, 19 tons (-70%) for $54,210 (-24%) from China.
Azerbaijan imported clay from Uzbekistan (34.5 tons worth $6,600) for the first time in 13 years (official statistics on foreign trade in open access since 2011).
