Azerbaijan starts exporting waffles to another two countries

In the first half of this year, Azerbaijan exported 612.95 tons of waffles and waffle packages worth $1,286 million.

According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 2 times more in value and 47.8% in quantitative terms compared to the same period last year.

In the reporting period, the country exported 258.18 tons (+2.7 times) of the product worth $633,190 (+3.6 times) to Yemen, 226.37 tons (+0.3%) worth $367,380 (+21.1%) to Georgia, 64.21 tons worth $165,800 to Iraq, 11.54 tons worth $23,430 to Palestine, 9.79 tons (-45%) worth $20,050 (-26%) to Iran, and 8.8 tons worth $18,410 to Moldova.

After one year, exports to Iraq were resumed. This year, Azerbaijan supplied waffles to Palestine and Moldova for the first time in 11 years (note: official statistics on foreign trade in open access since 2011).

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 2,151 tons of waffles and waffle packages worth $5,736 million, respectively, down 7.6% and 3.3%.

The country imported 1,338 tons (+0.7%) of waffles worth $3.029 million (+17.7%) from Russia, 454.95 tons (+8.6%) worth $1.712 million (+18.9%) from Turkiye, 99.1 tons (-40.3%) worth $323,150 (-40%) from Bulgaria, 165.13 tons (-10.3%) worth $287,890 (-17%) from Iran, and 54.07 tons (-65%) worth $140,410 (-51.4%) from Ukraine.
