Azerbaijan starts buying cattle from one more country

In the first half of this year, Azerbaijan's live cattle (heifers, cows, and others) imports reached 2,765 head (+28.5%), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
Total worth made up $8.4 million (+22.5%).
In the reporting period, 838 head of cattle (-3.3%) worth $2.7 million (+0.5%) were bought from Austria, 755 head worth $2.4 million from Estonia (there was no delivery a year ago), 520 head (-43.1 %) worth $1.5 million from Germany (- 47.3 %), 432 head (+6.8 times) worth $1.15 million (+6.1 times) from Hungary, and 155 head (-30%) worth $432,000 (-46%) from Turkiye.
This year, for the first time in the last 11 years, (note: publicly available official statistics on foreign trade are up to 2011), Ireland exported 34 head of cattle for $ 128,000 to Azerbaijan.
Last year, 50.8% of the 5,190 head of cattle (heifers, cows, etc.) brought from abroad (7 countries) fell to Austria and 33.4% to Germany.
