Azerbaijan spends over $10M on vacuum cleaner imports

Azerbaijan imported 190,189 vacuum cleaners worth $10.61 million during the first five months of 2024, Report informs, referring to the country's State Statistical Committee.

Compared to the same period of the previous year, this is an increase of 47 percent in volume and 35.3 percent in value.

In January-May 2024, Azerbaijan purchased 109,059 vacuum cleaners (+72%) from China worth $5.75 million (+61%), 42,133 units (+48.2%) from Vietnam worth $2.82 million (+34%), 30,243 units (+5.6%) worth $766,000 from Türkiye (-2%), 1,269 units (-39%) from Malaysia worth $277,000 (-18%) and 1,764 units (-45%) from Poland worth $256,000 (-42%).

In 2024, Azerbaijan imported vacuum cleaners from Latvia for the first time in 13 years (with official foreign trade statistics available since 2011). The exports stood at two units, valued at $25,630.
