Azerbaijan sharply reduces barley imports

In January-February this year, Azerbaijan imported 833 tons of barley, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

The cost of imports in the specified volume amounted to $353,000.

This is respectively 11 and 5.2 times less than in the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan carried out trade operations with foreign countries worth $7.94 billion. This is 80.45% more than a year earlier.

Export accounted for $5.968 billion of foreign trade turnover, import - $1.972 billion. Over the past year, exports grew 2.1 times, while imports increased by 22.3%.
