Azerbaijan sharply increases gas meter imports from Italy

In January-May 2025, Azerbaijan imported 20,294 gas meters worth $1.7 million, marking a fivefold year-on-year increase in number and threefold rise in value, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported gas meters from:

- China: 19,603 units worth $1.1 million (no supply in the same period of 2024);

- Germany: 225 units (+89%) worth $296,540 (+32%);

- Italy: 178 units (+16 times) worth $166,500 (+277 times);

- Türkiye: 55 units (-45%) worth $54,510 (+41%);

- Poland: 75 units (+74%) worth $36,000 (-10%);

Meanwhile, in 2024, 62% of the 44,400 gas meters imported to Azerbaijan came from China.
