Azerbaijan sees over 21% increase in auto imports

In January-April of 2025, Azerbaijan imported 33,767 vehicles for various purposes worth $616.138 million, marking a year-on-year increase of 21.3% and 22.6%, respectively, Report informs, citing the country’s State Customs Committee.

According to the committee, the number of cars with a capacity of ten or more seats grew by 2 times to 155 (valued at $12.766 million), and the number of passenger cars and other motor vehicles rose by 23.2% to 30,814 (valued at $551.249 billion).

Of these, 14,7336 (worth $405.012 million) were hybrid vehicles, and 609 ($20.411 million) were electric cars, respectively, up 2.8 times and down 39.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2024.

Meanwhile, the import of vehicles for cargo transportation dropped by 0.5% to 2,613 ($33.352 million), and special cars rose by 40.15% to 185 ($19.104 million).
