Azerbaijan sees decline in vegetable oil, margarine output

In January–July of 2025, Azerbaijan produced more than 22,493 tons of edible vegetable oils, marking a 10.4% decrease year-on-year (YoY), Report informs, referring to the country’s State Statistical Committee.
Additionally, the country’s margarine production totaled nearly 27,319 tons—down 8.7% YoY.
As of August 1, Azerbaijan had more than 3,011 tons of vegetable oil and just over 3,350 tons of margarine in stock. These figures represent annual declines of 41.8% and 53.3%, respectively.
During the first seven months of the year, the value of Azerbaijan’s food production exceeded 3.013 billion manats (over $1.77 billion), marking a 10.6% increase compared to the same period last year.
