Azerbaijan sees 8-fold increase in flower imports from Iran

In January-February of 2025, Azerbaijan imported 4.596 million flowers (roses, carnations, orchids, and others), valued at $4.12 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

Compared to the corresponding period in 2024, the imports grew by 58% in quantity and 56% in value.

During this period, Azerbaijan purchased flowers from:

- Ecuador: 1.698 million (+33%) worth $2.63 million (+60%);

- Colombia: 327,000 (+1.2%) worth $457,000 (+13%);

- Iran: 395,000 (+8 times) worth $451,000 (+13 times);

- Kenya: 103,000 (-37%) worth $137,000 (-13%);

- The Netherlands: 83,000 (-19%) worth $120,000 (-20%).

In 2024, 54% of the 11.353 million flowers imported to Azerbaijan came from Ecuador.
