Azerbaijan's yogurt imports from Kazakhstan soar

Azerbaijan imported 1,100 tons of yogurt, valued at $1.85 million in the first five months of 2024, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, the imports dropped by 10% in volume and by 7% in value compared to the same period of 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 519 tons (+297 times) of yogurt from Kazakhstan worth 904,000 (+113 times ), 364 tons (+24%) from Belarus worth $538,000 (+7%), 133 tons (-84%) from Russia worth $255,000 (-78%), 33.87 tons (+3%) from Latvia worth $66,240 (+1.5%), and 35.51 tons (+12 times) from Iran worth $39,000 (+9 times).
Meanwhile, in 2023, Azerbaijan supplied a total of 2,674 tons of yogurt from 15 countries, of which 59.5 percent came from Russia.
