Azerbaijan's spending on textile imports from Türkiye's Southeastern Anatolia region down by 20%

In January-February 2024, Azerbaijan (Nakhchivan AR) imported textile products worth $2.965 million from Türkiye's Southeastern Anatolia region, Report informs, citing Southeast Anatolian Exporters' Associations.

According to the information, this is 19.5% less than the same period of 2023.

During the reporting period, textile products worth $505.178 billion were exported from the region to foreign countries, which is 20.2% less than the previous year.

In 2 months, the European Union (in the amount of 144.99 million) accounted for most of the textile products exported from the Southeastern Anatolia region. This is 10.6% more than in the same period of 2023.

European countries were followed by the Middle East ($123.89 million) and other countries ($50.46 million). This is 31.6% and 19.1% more compared to 2023, respectively.
