Azerbaijan’s revenues from tobacco exports soar

In January-September 2024, Azerbaijan imported tobacco and industrial tobacco substitutes worth $89.095 million, 4.7% more compared to the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan also exported tobacco and industrial tobacco substitutes worth $46.46 million, 4.5 times more compared to a year ago.

Imports of tobacco and industrial tobacco substitutes accounted for 0.6% of Azerbaijan's total imports, while their exports made up 0.2% of total exports.

In January-September 2024r, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations worth $34.5 billion with foreign countries, 11.8% less compared to the same period last year.
