Azerbaijan's revenue from methanol exports grows by nearly 10%

In January-July 2025, Azerbaijan exported 245,938.15 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) worth $59,790,650, Report informs with reference to the country's State Customs Committee.

Compared to the same period of 2024, the value of exported products increased by 9.6%, while the volume decreased by 10.1%.

The share of methyl alcohol in the export of main non-oil products of Azerbaijan is 3.21%.

In July, 38,390.04 tons of methyl alcohol worth $6,485,960 were exported from the country, which is 25.4% and 9.2% less respectively compared to the same month last year.

In the 7 months of 2025, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations worth $28.84 billion with other countries. This is 7.25% more year-on-year. Of the foreign trade turnover, $15.227 billion accounted for exports, and $13.61 billion for imports. Year-on-year, exports decreased by 5.4%, while imports increased by 26.15%.
