Azerbaijan’s imports made up over 70% of goods on block trains from China

Some 70-75% of the goods transported by block trains from China to Azerbaijan consist of imports for Azerbaijan, Ziya Aghayev, Chairman of the Board at Absheron Logistics Center, said at SCO Demonstration Zone - Logistics and Trade Promotion Conference in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

Aghayev emphasized that the Absheron Logistics Center has also established the necessary infrastructure for transporting cargo to third countries.

“Currently, there is significant potential for goods arriving from China to be transported to third countries."

Addressing the challenge of empty trains returning from China is a priority, and efforts are underway to find solutions. The empty return of trains delivering goods from China was a big problem, and steps are being taken to solve this issue.”
