Azerbaijan's consumer market grows by over 5%

From January through August 2023, the monetary value of goods and services sold to meet the needs of consumers in Azerbaijan reached 44.2 billion manats ($26 billion), 5.4% more than the same period of 2022, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
The monetary value of goods and services sold by non-governmental sector entities increased by 5.2% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 42.5 billion manats ($25 billion), of which 46.3% was formed by the activities of individual entrepreneurs.
During the reporting period, a consumer spent an average of 544.6 manats ($320.35) per month, or 80.4 manats ($47.29) more in nominal terms compared to the same period in 2022.
