Azerbaijan’s cocoa imports from Italy soar

In January-February 2024, Azerbaijan imported 294 tons of cocoa powder worth $1.2 million, up 2.3 times and 2.3 times, respectively, from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 169 (+46%) tons of cocoa powder from Türkiye for $755,000 (+57%), 70 tons (+10 times) from the Netherlands for $290,000 (+10 times), 42 tons (no imports were made a year ago) from Ukraine for $94,000, 4.5 tons (+20 times) from Italy for $28,000 (+14 times), and 5 tons (no imports were made a year ago) from China for $14,400 million.
Some 51% of the 750 tons of cocoa powder brought to Azerbaijan from 20 countries last year were purchased from Turkiye, and 13.3% from the Netherlands.
