Azerbaijan’s car imports down 17%

In January-October 2022, Azerbaijan imported 60,790 vehicles worth $829.3 million, respectively, down 16.6% and up 11.4% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
According to the Committee, the number of cars with a capacity of ten or more seats increased by 87.6% to 349 ($ 47.7 million), and the number of passenger cars and other motor vehicles fell by 17.5% to 56,092 ($ 664.1 million).
Of these, 9,770 ($119.8 million) are hybrid electric vehicles, and 368 ($12.8 million) are electric cars, respectively, up 2.6% and 3.5-fold from the previous year.
Meanwhile, vehicles for cargo transportation dropped by 10.65% to 4,084 ($82.4 million), and special cars rose by 2.2 times to 265 ($35 million).
