Currently, nine enterprises are operating in the Aghdam Industrial Park, and the construction of more than five enterprises is ongoing, Elchin Kazimov, the press secretary of the Economic Zones Development Agency of Azerbaijan, told Report.

According to Kazimov, the opening of a tobacco products enterprise is planned in the Aghdam Industrial Park this year. Work at the enterprise has already been fully completed.

“Currently, 28 business entities with an investment portfolio of more than 260 million manats ($152.9 million) in the Aghdam Industrial Park have been granted residency status, and four entrepreneurs have been granted non-resident status.

"More than 70% of the park has already been put into use by entrepreneurs. More than 115 million manats ($67.6 million) have been invested in the work carried out by entrepreneurs, and 653 people have been provided with permanent jobs.

"Enterprises operating in the Aghdam Industrial Park outputted 85 million manats ($50 million) worth of products from September 2024 through the first quarter of 2025, and 63 million manats ($37.1 million) during the first quarter of the current year. In addition to introducing the manufactured products to the domestic market, success is also being achieved in exporting them."

Kazimov added that entrepreneurs operating in the industrial park are provided with ready-made infrastructure at the expense of state funds:

"Residents of the Industrial Park are fully exempted from property, land, and income taxes for 10 years from the date of their registration, as well as from VAT and customs duties when importing machinery, technological equipment, and facilities for production purposes.

"Entrepreneurs operating in the Aghdam Industrial Park have been issued 126 confirmation documents by June 1, 2025. Based on these documents, entrepreneurs have saved more than 8 million manats ($4.7 million) on imported machinery and technological equipment."
