Azerbaijan resumes power transformer imports from Bulgaria

In the first quarter of 2025, Azerbaijan imported 20,312 power transformers, valued at $25.3 million, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

According to data, the imports dropped by 56% in number, while increasing by 5.5 times in value compared to the corresponding period in 2024.

During this period, Azerbaijan purchased power transformers from:

- China: 14,879 units (-54%) worth $19.4 million (+43 times);

- Türkiye: 4,718 units (-63%) worth $2.3 million (+38%);

- Belarus: 252 units (-14%) worth $1 million (-20%);

- France: 27 units (-89%) worth $875,000 (+55%);

- Italy: 57 units (-77%) worth $630,000 (+3 times).

Azerbaijan has resumed the supply of power transformers from Bulgaria (1 unit worth $500) after a 1-year and 3-month break.
