Azerbaijan resumes pear exports to Belarus and Iran

In 2023, Azerbaijan exported 9,193 tons of pears (+2.3%) worth $5.9 million (+2.2 times), Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 8,730 tons of pears (+2.2 times) worth $5.65 million (+2 times) to Russia, 373 tons (+3.6 times) worth $160,000 (+4.5 times) to Kazakhstan, 73.5 tons worth $93,000 to Belarus, 1.7 tons (no supplies were made a year ago) worth $8,300 to Saudi Arabia, and 3.6 tons (+19 times) worth $5,900 (+15 times) to Qatar.

After 5 years and 3 months, Azerbaijan resumed supplies to Iran (4,700 tons worth $2,800) and to Belarus after 5 years and 10 months.

Some 97.4% of the 4,000 tons of pears exported from Azerbaijan (to 5 countries) in 2022 were sold to Russia and 2.6% to Kazakhstan.
