Azerbaijan resumes import of washing machines from two countries

In 2023, Azerbaijan imported 228,343 washing machines, with a capacity of no more than 10 kg of dry laundry, worth $52.3 million.

Report informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that this is 24% more than the same period in value and 38% in quantity.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 109,909 units (+3.7 times) worth $26.4 million (+3.3 times) from China, 65,533 units (+2.5 times) in the amount of $12.7 million (+2.1 times) from Türkiye, 13,724 units (+2.8 times) worth $5 million (+3 times) from Poland, 17,334 units (-79%) worth $4.1 million (-82%) from Russia, 2,410 units (+53%) worth $1.3 million (+48%) from Germany.

Azerbaijan resumed supplies from the United States (7 units worth $49,000) after a break of a year and 10 months and from Belarus (209 units worth $44,500) after a year and three months.

Of the 165,583 washing machines imported to Azerbaijan (from 27 countries), 49.7% came from Russia and 17.9% from China.
