Azerbaijan resumes import of sesame oil from 3 countries

In 2022, Azerbaijan imported 2.2 tons of sesame oil worth $15,000 from abroad.

According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 36% more in value and 16% in quantitative terms compared to the previous year.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 1.2 tons (+26%) of sesame oil from China worth $6,600 (40% more than a year earlier), from Russia 0.35 tons (-58%) worth $2,700 (-48%), from Mexico 0.2 tons (+20 times) worth $2,500 (+12.7 times), from Türkiye 0.17 tons (+17 times) worth $1,100 (+18.3 times).

Azerbaijan resumed imports of sesame oil from India, Italy and Luxembourg.
